Software Engineer Trainee

Apply Now In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Learn and apply software engineering best practices in product development activities.

Contributes to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of Emerson software products.

Develop and maintain software features under the guidance of senior engineers.

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues identified during development and testing.

Participate in code reviews and implement feedback to improve code quality.

Create and maintain technical documentation as required.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including Development, Testing, Product Management, and Customer Support.

Support automation, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and development methodologies.

📋 Requirements & Qualifications

For This Role, You Will Need:

MTech / Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline with graduation completed in 2025 or 2026

Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and object-oriented concepts.

Knowledge of at least one programming language such as C#, C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript.

Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Willingness to learn industrial automation technologies and Emerson products.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

Academic projects, internships, or coursework related to software development.

Exposure to Windows application development, web technologies, or cloud platforms.

Basic understanding of databases and SQL.

Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
